RIDHA, a conviction turned into commitment.
A civil society organisation rooted in local realities and looking to the future.
Dignity as a requirement. Commitment as a responsibility.
Welcome to the RIDHA website.
Our conviction is fundamental: every person, without distinction, must be able to exercise their rights, make their voice heard and actively contribute to building a fair society.
Rooted in Senegal and firmly open to the African continent, we work every day to promote fundamental human rights, strengthen citizen participation and consolidate social cohesion. We give strategic priority to the empowerment of young people, to inclusion and women’s leadership, and to the active integration of the most vulnerable groups.
Our approach is based on listening to realities on the ground, concerted action and strict alignment with governance and transparency requirements. Together with communities, we co-create concrete, measurable and lasting solutions.
This website is a space for sharing and dialogue. Whether you are a citizen, a civil society actor, an institution or a technical and financial partner, we invite you to discover our initiatives and join forces with us.
Together, let’s turn our convictions into lasting impact.

RIDHA, a conviction turned into commitment.
RIDHA is a civil society organisation based in Senegal, dedicated to defending human rights, strengthening participatory democracy and promoting good governance.
Rooted in local realities and part of a dynamic of regional and international cooperation, our organisation works to build a fairer, more peaceful and more inclusive society. We develop the capacities and skills of citizens, particularly young people and women, so that they become key actors in governance and in the public decisions that affect their daily lives.
Why act now.
Facing converging crises to protect the future.
Democratic backsliding
A shrinking civic space and weakened institutions.
Security tensions
Conflicts and population displacement.
Persistent inequalities
An urgent need for inclusion of women, young people and the most vulnerable.
Disinformation
Cyber threats and a loss of trust in institutions.
RIDHA selected among the non-profit organisations (NPOs) involved as stakeholders.
Excellence, transparency and institutional compliance
As a major illustration of its seriousness and institutional credibility, RIDHA was selected among the non-profit organisations (NPOs) met as stakeholders on 17 August 2026 by the assessors of GIABA and the National Coordination Committee (CNC-LBC/FT/FP), as part of the on-site visit for the 3rd round of Senegal’s Mutual Evaluation.
The organisation also takes an active part in strategic regional initiatives, such as the regional awareness workshop for civil society organisations on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) requirements, organised under the aegis of GIABA.
These major milestones confirm our position as a model and reference organisation in terms of accountability, risk management and ethical governance within the non-profit sector.
Rooted in Dakar, looking to the continent.
Our Dakar headquarters, at the heart of West Africa, supports our continental reach. As part of the 2027–2029 plan, RIDHA is preparing new offices in North Africa, West Africa and East Africa.
